Just in time for the spring
birthing season! Come join us for a day
of valuable birthing information with a hands-on Neonatal Clinic. The Lecture will cover breeding, reproductive
management, birthing and neonatal care.
The wet lab, using donated dead crias in uterine simulators, will give
breeders hands-on experience at how to identify and correct dystocias. The class will divide into two groups to go
into the labs, making for smaller lab groups.
During the Lab times, an additional seminar will be offered to the group
not in the lab on “Treating your Alpaca Business, as a Business.” Jeff Kressin, owner of Alpacas of Ohio, LLC
and various other small businesses, will give tips and tricks on the business
side of running an alpaca farm, including the “Hows and Whys” of incorporating,
protecting yourself in these “lawsuit happy” times, record keeping, marketing,
customer service, and a question and answer session.
